KML notation is used to express geographic annotation and visualization within Internet-based, two-dimensional maps and three-dimensional Earth browsers, and was developed for use with Google Earth. Where we have matched multi-station observations we can use the calculated latitude, longitude and altitudes of meteor start and end points to create a KML file which gives an interactive three dimensional view of meteor trajectories. The diagram above shows a Google Earth view of the 2013 Perseids based on an analysis of data from Ash Vale, Clanfield, Fleet and Norman Lockyer stations. http://ukmeteornetwork.co.uk/2013/11/a-three-dimensional-view-of-the-2013-perseids/
