After last month’s very successful event, themed around variable stars, the Astronomical Society shall once again be holding another similar event next Friday, 23rd June, at the same location.
This time round, astronomer Alexei Pace shall be delivering a short talk regarding asteroids, in anticipation of Asteroid Day. This will be followed by another short talk by Victor Farrugia aimed at novices in astronomy, providing very useful information to get beginners started whilst brushing up on basics for those more seasoned in the subject.
Following the two short talks, we will head outside to observe the night sky, and in particular, get a look at the planets Jupiter and Saturn through a telescope! Astronomers shall be on site to help all those attending and answer any questions that attendees might have.
For further info please contact info@maltastro.org. Booking for the event can be made through the following google form link goo.gl/forms/ jVjOriYhAKXHDQ8m1. Attendance is FREE for all Society members and against a suggested donation of €3 for Adults and €1 for Children/Students for non-members.
