This interactive skymap shows the sky as it appears now. Click on the sky and drag it around, and use the keyboard to turn features on or off. Click on the map and press 1 to get a list of keyboard functions (requires internet connection).
Here is another sky chart showing the constellations and planets visible in the sky now.
To use the sky chart print it out and hold it up to the sky so that the direction in which you are looking is at the lower edge of the map. For example, if you are looking at the eastern horizon then the map should be held so that the “E” label is at the lower edge. The altitude and direction of the stars and planets will then be correctly shown. The centre of the chart will be directly overhead.
