Total Lunar Eclipse

Saturday, November 8, 2003, at 10:30 p.m., Ta’ Qali.

An activity will be held at Ta’ Qali to observe the total eclipse of the Moon of Saturday/Sunday night November 8/9. The observing site is located just beyond the north end of the large parking area near the main entrance of the National Park. Bring along your binoculars, telescopes, cameras and of course the observing sheets that were distributed during the activity of October 24.

Totality will last for 25 minutes, with mid-eclipse occurring at 2:19 a.m. on November 9. At least some part of Earth’s dark shadow touches the Moon for 3 hours 32 minutes. In case of doubtful weather please contact Tony Tanti on tel. nos….
