A talk by Leonard Ellul Mercer
Commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the launch of the Hubble Space Telescope.
Friday, 21 May 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST), Villa Bighi, Kalkara. Members and their friends are invited to attend.
The planet Saturn was at opposition on 22 March and now it is visible in the southwest in early evening. At this activity, Leonard will describe the second largest planet in the solar system with the aid of his animation ‘Solar Journey.’ An observing session will follow at the MCST car park.
Before Leonard’s presentation, Tony Tanti will deliver a short talk about the Hubble Space Telescope which completed its 20th year in orbit on 24 April.
