We must thank the Institute of Space Sciences and Astronomy – ISSA – University of Malta for collaborating with us to take these fascinating Solar Images and Mosaic.

These images were taken using a Solar filter that blocks 99.999% of light.

WARNING! NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN WITH THE NAKED EYES!

Can you see the black features on the Sun’s surface? These are known as Sunspots and they are regions of concentrated Magnetic activity that blocks light from leaving the Sun.
