The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully landed Vikram, the lunar lander onboard Chandrayaan-3. India is the first country to explore the Moon’s southern region, as humanity continues the search for water ice that will fuel future missions to the Moon and beyond.
The Pragyan rover will be the first explorer of the lunar south pole! Its mission will include analysing lunar soil and rocks, detecting moonquakes, and recording soil temperature.
Exciting times await, as the whole world aims to explore our cosmos.
Chandrayaan-3 launched on the 14th of July 2023.
